Lumb Falls (2015)

Lumb Falls, made famous by Ted Hughes, though always known locally as a place for wild swimming, lies between Hardcastle Craggs and Shackleton Moor, near Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. When the water is high it can be a roaring, wild place. At other times, as when I sat and drew it, it looks like a Japanese garden. There are always dippers and other water birds. This piece was part of the 2015 Exhibition 'Water & Light' at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge.
