As the Crow Flies (2014)
Original media: Inks, acrylics, gouache, pigment sticks, coloured pencil, gold thread and gold leaf.
I sat on a farm wall and drew this view from Pecket Well on a very cold day in Spring 2014. I didn't get around to painting it until the Autumn when the light and colours were warmer. It shows the view across the valley to Heptonstall, with Stoodley Pike on the higher hill behind. This piece was part of the 2015 'Exhibition Water & Light' at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge.
Available as a signed limited edition print, hand-finished with gold leaf and gold thread. All prints are mounted and can be posted, unless purchased framed.
Finished dimensions: 120cm x 69cm
