Stubbings (2012)
Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, gold leaf and gold thread.
A view of Stubbings School and the view up into Birchcliffe beyond it. Following the floods in June 2012 , Stubbings took in children from the flooded infant school in town. My daughter amongst them. In as much as any of my paintings have symbolism in them, the trees and the doves beneath the school were inspired by the recovering town below.
Available as a signed limited edition print, hand-finished with gold leaf and gold thread. All prints are mounted and can be posted, unless purchased framed.
