August Sunflowers (2020)

Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, watercolour, loose pigment, collage, gold thread, 23 carat gold leaf

Painted as part of The Nightingale Project: a series of trees and nature inspired by lock down in The Calder Valley from March 2020 to March 2021 (and the brief escapes from it over the summer).

Not a tree! But maybe just as tall. At the beginning of lock down, Red Granny posted seeds to all three daughters, so that her grandchildren could have a sunflower competition. The Wiltshire cousins won (but ours were pretty good too).

Available as a signed limited edition print, hand-finished with gold leaf and gold thread. All prints are mounted and can be posted, unless purchased framed.
