Sun on the Parsonage Lawn (2019)
Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, coloured pencil, gold leaf and gold thread.
The home in Haworth of the Brontë family from 1820. I’ve painted the Haworth chickens before. I like their disrespect for boundaries and the way they strut up the main street. They are often seen in groups in the churchyard in front of the parsonage. They brighten it up, along with this late summer sunlight on the parsonage lawn.
