Visiting Erica (2018)
Original media: Gouache, inks, acrylics, pigment sticks, pencils, gold leaf and gold thread.
Painted for 'Craggs & Fells' – a solo exhibition at Heart Gallery, Hebden Bridge.
Named for a very territorial Grouse that always stands at a certain point on Shackleton Knoll, and shouts at us as we pass. Helen named her 'Erica', because it means 'Heather'. Some days the running girls choose the route to visit Erica. From Shackleton Knoll you can see down to Pecket Well, Hardcastle Craggs, Heptonstall, and Stoodley Pike.
Available as a signed limited edition print, hand-finished with gold leaf and gold thread. All prints are mounted and can be posted, unless purchased framed.
Finished dimensions: 120cm x 69cm
